V&A Waterfront, Cape Town
We went to the V&A Waterfront. The V&A Waterfront is a big place with restaurants, stores, museums, playgrounds, access to robben island (that’s a jail and I will talk more about that later), a big mall and a food court. The was also a ferris wheel, called the Cape Wheel. It is like the London eye but smaller. It has a great view of table mountain that we will climb later.
Boulders Beach, Cape Town
At Boulders Beach, we saw African penguins. Sadly, they are endangered:(. It was a really windy day at Boulders Beach. Sand was blowing everywhere!! We saw so many penguins! Some were lying down, some were standing up, some were walking and even some were swimming! It was awesome! (Besides the sand getting in my eyes…arrrgh)

The penguins can do amazing things, like dive up to 130m, hold their breath for 2.5 meters deep, they like eat anchovies, pilchards, sardines, herrings, squids and shellfish. They are about 60cm tall. They can swim up to 20km per hour when hunting but their normal speed is 7km per hour.
Here is a picture of their lifecycle.
Penguins eat a lot of salt because they eat the fish and drink the salt water. Did you know that they get out salt by blowing it out of their nostrils and shaking there beaks.
It was super cool to see them in their natural habitats.

I enjoyed there. We got to climb on boulders, explore the beaches and have lots of fun.
