Welcome back readers. We have begun our 1 year trip around the world. So, stay in touch and look for a new post!
Welcome to Portugal.
On July 31st ,we went to the airport to fly to Portugal.
On the road to the airport. :)
The flight was 7 hours. I mostly slept on the flight. Pretty good :) .
Did you know that Portugal is one of the most sunniest areas in Europe? That’s true. There is on average 3023 hours of sunshine. The capital of Portugal is Lisbon. It borders Spain and the Atlantic Ocean.
Here is what we been up to! On my 2nd day we walk so much my legs got very tired. There are so many hills in Lisbon.
We decided to go on a tuck tuck tour. A tuck tuck is a small car that drives you around the city.
It stops at famous places and you can get off but it doesn’t leave without you. It took us around Lisbon where we are staying. We saw lots of places. We could see a castle in the distance, we stopped at churches, we saw lots of statues and we also saw Christ the Redeemer. That statue is a statue of Jesus and he his looking over Lisbon, keeping it safe. (Just like Brazil…hopefully we might go there too)
After that, we dipped our feet in river but it looks more like a lake or ocean.
One day, we went to the aquarium. The aquarium was built for an old World Fair ( Expo) in 1997. We saw a lot of fish. We saw sharks, eels, archer fish, octopus, star fish, penguins, otters, axolotls or Mexican walking fish, puffins, sea birds, blue tang, clown fish, tree frogs and more. It was so much fun.

Another place that we went to was Sintra. Sintra is an old town with a palace, castle and fancy gardens. There is also an old historical village that we checked out too and had lunch at. The palace is called The Palacio National de Pena.
We have done so much stuff like going to the beach, exploring so much of Lisbon, checking out the pool by the ocean and Alfama. Alfama is one of Lisbon’s oldest areas. We had dinner there and heard some traditional Portuguese music! The pool by the ocean has platforms over water. My dad jump from the highest one that is 32 feet high!!!!!!!!!
That is what we’ve been doing peace out! Nate.
